About Payment & Payment Methods
- All prices displayed on the items are in Kenya Shillings and are: inclusive of applicable VAT.
- We accept all Visa & MasterCard credit cards. To protect your security and to prevent credit card fraud where possible, we reserve the right for proof of identity on ALL purchases.
- We also accept payment via M-Pesa, cheque and banker’s draft but deliveries will only be made once the cheque or banker’s draft clears from the bank within 4 working days.
- All cheques or bankers draft must be made out in the name: Sofya Furniture Store Ltd
- Payment in full (including finalization of any lay-by arrangements) is required prior to delivery arrangements can be made, as payment on delivery cannot be accepted.
- If the delivery address and billing address are different, or to enable us to carry out necessary security checks, you must provide proof of address
About Refunds & Returns
- Buyer is expected to ensure at the time of taking deliveries of furniture as far as its color, quality or any fault or defects in the furniture/ accessories. It should be immediately reported to the store within 24 hours and we will arrange a technician to visit and inspect the fault or damage, if the fault or damage cannot be repaired then the furniture will be replaced subject to availability of same or similar items available in our stock or any other items buyer agrees to accept in lieu of the defective items, alternatively a credit note for the similar value will be issued after 2 working days.
- However, this will not apply to the extent that fault is caused by abuse, misuse, or damage through accident or neglect by the buyer or his agent.
- If purchasing mattress, please ensure the mattress size is as per your bed size. Check the length, width and height of the mattress being purchased. Cancellation on special order mattresses cannot be entertained.
- The dimensions of all our sofas are mentioned on the price tag. So, please take note of these before confirming purchase of the same as we do not take back sofas if they do not enter the doors/ lifts of your building.
- Cancellations must be advised in writing, directly to the store of purchase no later than three working days prior to the scheduled delivery date. We will not accept cancellation after this time.
- Cancellations are subject to 10% deduction from the purchase invoice amount paid by the buyer. Delivery charges will not be refunded if we attempted to deliver goods.
- Please choose carefully as we don’t normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make the wrong decision or color selection.
- Exchanges and refunds can be given where goods are faulty and cannot be replaced or rectified, wrongly described or different from the sample shown to you or don’t do what they are supposed to.
Storage & Reservations Of Goods
Items Purchased will not be reserved until a minimum of 50% of the value of the invoice has been paid. Goods can be stored in our warehouse for a maximum period of 14 days from the date of receipt of 50% deposit.
In the event that you fail to take delivery within 14 days, there will be a charge of 5% of total invoice value. Storage facilities is not applicable for items on any sale promotion or items in clearance corner.
Delivery Address & Contact Details
- Our motto is to deliver your purchased goods at the right time and at the right place you have provided the address. Please provide your exact delivery address and contact mobile / telephone number. Incorrect information may cause delay in processing your purchases.
- Please note that in case the goods cannot be delivered for wrong address or non-availability of contact on the given address or the person could not be contacted on provided phone number. Next delivery will only be made on additional transport charges and availability of transport
Pricing Policy
- We have a competitive pricing policy on our products. Products which are on sale promotion, clearance corner and special offer have a fixed price rate. We do not provide further reduction on these products.
- Sale promotion reductions in this store compare to the prices which have been offered on each item in our showrooms for at least 30 Consecutive days before the sale period.
About Delivery
- We cannot be responsible for any late delivery or failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- At the time of delivery, you or your representative will be asked to Sign a form to acknowledge that the goods were delivered in good and proper condition. We will assume that anyone at the delivery address who receives the goods is authorized to receive them and provide the acknowledgement.
- Where the purchaser requests the merchandise to be left unattended upon delivery, Sofya Furniture Ltd. accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage or theft that might occur thereafter.
- If you need to postpone your delivery, please advise the showroom at least two days in advance and the next delivery can only be done as per the delivery schedule running on that day of postponement. The delivery can be postponed for a maximum period of 15 days. Thereafter storage charges of Shs. 500 per day will be charged for a minimum period of 3 months. After expiry of 5months, the purchase order will be cancelled, and the refund will be available after deduction of storage charges and deduction of 10% of the invoice price.
- Note that our delivery van drivers are instructed to bring your purchase through the main entrance, to avoid any unwelcome surprises, please inform our staff at the time of purchase of any special delivery requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods can be delivered to the room of your choice. We will only deliver beyond the entrance of the premises at your own risk.
- Due to health and safety regulations, our drivers cannot remove their safety work boots. Please ensure your floors are properly protected.
- Deliveries will be done within 2-3 working days from the date of purchase and can exceed to 4-5 working days during the sale promotion period. Custom /made to order deliveries will be organized depending on the product schedule and can vary from one order to the next.
- Larger size televisions will be removed from the carton and set in place. However, we will not mount or connect any electronics. For delivery of appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers & ranges, we will uncrate and move your new purchase into place, but for insurance reasons our drivers cannot connect it to electrical, plumbing or gas outlets.
- Collection of purchases at the store or from the warehouse should be checked and processed by the client to verify if the goods are in perfect condition and nothing are damaged hence there will be no refunds or exchange of goods that will be entertained thereafter.
- All delivery charges are fixed as quoted. However additional charges may apply in circumstances where normal site access is not available such as deliveries involving the use of stairs or were changes to delivery arrangements are notified to us less than 24 hours prior to scheduled time of delivery. It is your responsibility to advise us at the time of sale any unusual delivery circumstances.
- All deliveries within Nairobi area are free for any total purchase per order exceeding KES100,000.00. A minimum charge is applicable for deliveries of total orders under KES.100,000.00 and will be agreed as an additional cost of the buyer and may vary and will be calculated on a case-to-case basis. As for all deliveries outside Nairobi area can be arranged by third party transport companies at an additional Cost to the buyer.
